January 5th 2019 - Jason Birnbaum student Roberto Diaz has successfully qualified for the PGA Tour for a second straight season and will have full playing status in 2019! Roberto was a rookie on Tour in 2018 after finishing in the top 25 on the 2017 Web.Com Tour money list. He began his season earlier this year at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
"I have been working with Roberto on his full swing for the past 2.5 years and it has been a fun ride. I am thrilled to see him back on the PGA Tour where he belongs and look forward to watching him compete against the best players in the world at the highest level," said Birnbaum.
A native of Vera Cruz, Mexico, Roberto attended the University of South Carolina Aiken and has been playing professionally for the last nine years. He gained valuable experience competing in the 2017 United States Open at Erin Hills and the World Golf Championships in Mexico.
